Clarksville, Ark.-U of O center Christie Shuffield was named American Southwest Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league office.
Shuffield, a 6-foot-1 senior from Dover, averaged 20.6 points, 13 rebounds and 3.3 blocks to lead the Lady Eagles to a co-championship in the ASC East Division last week. She shot a collective 68 percent from the floor (26-of-38) and 90.9 percent from the free throw line (10-of-11). Shuffield celebrated her last regular-season game snaring a career-high 17 rebounds and scoring 23 points Saturday against LeTourneau. This marks the second time Shuffield has earned the honor this season. She is a three-time All-ASC selection and a two-time ASC All-Academic selection.
