Clarksville, Ark.- The Eagles suffered a 86-56 loss to Mississippi College on Thursday night in American Southwest Conference action.
The Choctaws (13-3, 10-2) used a 16-5 run in the latter stage of the first half to hold a commanding 45-28 advantage at intermission. The Choctaws benefited from shooting 17-of-31 (54%) from the field in the first half. Ozarks (7-8, 4-7) hung around for the first 12 minutes of the contest, and got within 17-12 at the 11:36 mark after Habeeb Kareem hit a jumper. But that would be the closest Ozarks got the rest of the game.
Chris Williams led Ozarks off the bench with 13 points. He finished 5-of-8 from the field. Kareem followed with 11 points and a team-high 8 rebounds.
