Chistie Shuffield To Play In All-Star Game

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks center Christie Shuffield will participate in the revived All-Arkansas Basketball Classic, set for April 12-13 at the Farris Center on the University of Central Arkansas campus.

Shuffield, a native of Dover, will join 18 other women players for the two-day event. The All-Star game will be played on Saturday, April 13, with the women’s game beginning at 6:30 p.m. The All-Star game will consist of only graduating seniors from colleges and universities. Shuffield was a three-time All-American Southwest Conference player and led the Lady Eagles to an ASC East Division Co-championship this season while averaging 13.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. Shuffield finishes her career at Ozarks as the fourth leading scorer (1264) and rebounder (711). She holds ASC and U of O records in most blocks in a game (11), most blocks in a season (70), most career blocks (228) and highest career field goal percentage (.551). She is also a three-time ASC All-Academic honoree and is a member of the Alpha Chi Academic Society.
