Chelsea Joslin Named To Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Team

Clarksville, Ark.-Senior catcher Chelsea Joslin was named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Midwest All-Region Second Team, it was announced by director of publications Christina Edgar on Tuesday.

It is the second major award for Joslin this week. The Claremore, Okla., native was also named to the American Southwest Conference All-East Division Second Team.

Joslin, a 5-foot-9 graduate of Claremore High School, completed her fourth straight season in which she proved to be among the top hitting threats in the region. For the season, she hit .424 with 10 home runs and 45 RBI. Additionally, she owned a .729 slugging percentage and a .478 on-base percentage. She posted a .979 fielding percentage behind the plate.

One of her best games of the season came against Mississippi College when she went 2-for-3 with 6 RBI. She had two homers and 5 RBI against Texas-Dallas. She closes out her career as the school career leader in home runs (32), RBI (131), slugging percentage (.647) and total bases (281). She is second in career batting (.378) and hits (164). She owns single-season school records in homers (10), RBI (45) and total bases (86). Her 32 career home runs were two short of tying the conference record. She is a four-time All-Conference player.
