Chelsea Joslin Garners Conference Honor

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior first baseman Chelsea Joslin was named the American Southwest Conference East Division co-Hitter of the Week, it was announced by ASC Director of Media Relations Greg Weghorst on April 7.

Joslin, a 5-foot-8 native of Claremore, Okla., batted .545 with four home runs and 11 RBI over six games last week. Joslin had a two-homer game against ASC East Division opponent Texas-Dallas and had two, three-hit performances on the week. She also scored four runs and had a sacrifice fly. Against Texas-Dallas she collected a season-high five RBI. She powered a solo homer and a two-run shot in Ozarks’ series against LeTourneau.

Joslin is again among the top offensive players in the league this season, ranking third in batting (.493), fourth in RBI (30) and fifth in home runs (6). She has hit safely in all but three games this season. The power-hitting right-hander has 28 career homers, most in Ozarks’ history. She is also the career leader in RBI (116). She is a three-time All-Conference performer.

She is a graduate of Claremore High School where she earned All-State honors.
