Central Baptist College Upends Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-Central Baptist College pulled out a 19-14 victory in a rain-shorten non-conference battle against the Eagles on Tuesday in Conway.

Ozarks give up the second highest total of runs (19) this season, 18 of which were earned. Trailing 13-11 after the top of the seventh, the Mustangs scored eight runs in the bottom half of the inning to secure the win. Ozarks had a big inning in the sixth, scoring seven runs on seven hits. The Eagles began the eighth inning at the plate and scored once, but the game was called due to the inclement weather. Ozarks out hit the Mustangs 19-17. John Glenn went 3-for-6 with 1 RBI. Bruce Cameron went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI. Cory Briggs went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI. Andrew Teaster had 3 RBI. Brett Wood (1-2) received the loss. The Eagles (14-12, 3-3) will host the 23-0 UT-Tyler Patriots this weekend in a three-game series beginning on Friday afternoon.
