Carrasco’s Game-Winner In Overtime Lifts Ozarks

Clarksville, Ark.-Josh Carrasco's goal in overtime lifted the Eagles (5-1-0, 2-0-0) to a 1-0 win over East Texas Baptist University (3-3-1, 0-2-0) on Friday in Marshall, Texas.

Carrasco scored on a header off a feed from Cody Ellis in the 93rd minute. It was his first goal of the season and his second career game-winner. With the win, the Eagles now hold a 9-3-1 all-time record against the Tigers. Ozarks out shot ETBU 12-9 and ended the match with three shots on goal. ????? Ryan Skelly led the team with four shots. ????? Freshman goalkeeper Brian Sarber notched his first career shutout and recorded four saves in the match. ????? Ozarks will have their conference home-opener against UT-Dallas on September 23 and then face UT-Tyler on September 24. The men’s match begins at 1 p.m. and will be followed by the women’s match at 3 p.m. on both days.
