Candidates for mayor exchange views in Ozarks television studio

CLARKSVILLE, ARK. (Oct. 24, 2006) -- The University of the Ozarks will host the only debate between the three candidates seeking the office of Mayor of Clarksville this November. Incumbent Billy Helms will debate challengers Cheryl Rideout and Aubrey Thomas beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 25. The debate will be broadcast live over KUOZ channel 6 and can also be heard on KXIO 106.9 FM. KUOZ and KXIO are sponsoring the debate along with the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Seating will be available to watch the debate via closed circuit telecast on the main floor of Walker Hall on the Ozarks campus.
