Clarksville, Ark.-U of O seniors Jessica Bush and Taylor Dodds were named American Southwest Conference East Division Tennis Player's of the Week following their performances last week.
Bush, a senior from Houston, Texas, recorded a pair of straight set singles wins to help Ozarks to a pair of wins last week. Bush took her Arkansas-Monticello opponent 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and her John Brown University competition 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Dodds, a senior from Denton, Texas, went the distance for a win in a two-and-one-half hour match at No. 2 singles. Dodds outlasted his John Brown University opponent 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 for the singles point, then paired with Fuyei Xaykaothao to take an 8-4 victory at the No. 2 doubles slot.
