Clarksville, Ark.-Senior defender Aaron Brueckner was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-West Region Third Team, it was announced this week.
Brueckner, a 6-foot, 175-pound native of Allen, Texas, led the team to the playoffs in 2009, earning a spot on the ASC All-Tournament Team, and helped the Eagles post their tenth straight winning season. A team captain this season, he started in all 20 matches and played the most minutes on the team. Brueckner spearheaded a defensive unit that recorded four shutouts and helped the team to a ten match unbeaten streak during the season. Brueckner also contributed one goal and three assists. He ends his career as a two-time All-Conference player, including earning All-ASC First Team in 2009.
He is a graduate of Allen High School where he helped AHS to a Bi-District Championship in 2005.
The men’s soccer program has had fifteen players earn NSCAA All-Region honors in the past nine years. The NSCAA annually recognizes All-Region and All-America players throughout the country.
