Clarksville, Ark.-Nick Brill's twelfth inning grand slam pushed Ozarks past Austin College 8-5 Monday afternoon in McAlester, Oklahoma.

In the bottom of the twelfth, the Eagles (7-30) loaded the bases with no outs for Brill, who delivered a clutch homer that hit the scoreboard in left field. It was Brill’s third home run of the season. In the inning, Chris Driedric singled, Michael Prusator doubled and Ian Bryan was intentionally walked prior to Brill’s at-bat.

Trailing 4-3 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Ozarks extended the game into extra innings after Tony Morales hit a sacrifice fly to score Brill. Neither team scored in the tenth or the eleventh inning, but Austin College (19-22) took a 5-4 lead in the top of the twelfth on an RBI single. The Kangaroos could have done more damage, but junior pitcher Robert Smith was inserted and induced a double play to end the threat.

Mitchell Powers doubled in a run in the first inning and Driedric singled in a run in the third and the fifth to give Ozarks a 3-2 lead after seven.

Driedric finished with five singles in six at-bats.

Morales was 3-for-4 and Brill’s only hit on the day was his home run.

Smith (1-0) picked up the win on the mound.

Ozarks will conclude their season with a three-game series against East Texas Baptist this week in Marshall, Texas.
