Clarksville, Ark. - For the second straight week, University of the Ozarks senior goalkeeper Brian Sarber has been named the American Southwest Conference men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by ASC Media Relations Director Greg Weghorst Monday.
Sarber, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound native of Allen, Texas, posted a pair of shutouts in 207 minutes of play to keep the Eagles unbeaten at 5-0-2. Against Tabor College on Monday, Sarber stopped three shots in a 1-0 overtime win. In Saturday’s conference opener against UT-Dallas, Sarber recorded a career-high 14 saves in a 0-0 overtime tie.
