Clarksville, Ark.-Senior midfielder Amanda Bohon scored the game-winning goal at the 99:39 mark to give Ozarks a 2-1 victory over Howard Payne University on Saturday.

The Lady Eagles improve to 4-5-4 overall and 3-5-1 in American Southwest Conference play. Ozarks is currently in 8th place in the league standings. Only the top six teams make the playoffs.

Emalee Pearson scored in the 7th minute to give Ozarks a 1-0 cushion. Howard Payne evened the match at 1-1 in the 87th minute. Bohon, however, provided heroics when she nailed a shot with only 21 seconds remaining in the first overtime. It was Bohon’s second game-winner this season.

Ozarks out shot Howard Payne 23-7, with Jessalyn Halsted notching a team-best seven.

Lori Langman had two saves.

Ozarks will host Schreiner University on October 19 and Texas Lutheran University on October 21.
