The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.
Despite this, Ozarks is aiming to roll out financial aid packages within two weeks of receiving FAFSA information.

Blake Mitchem Named ASC Player of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks sophomore forward Blake Mitchem was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced Monday by ASC Media Relations Director Greg Weghorst.

The 6-foot-6, 195-pound Fort Smith, Ark., product averaged 20.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over three games to open the season. Mitchem, who also totaled five assists and three steals, put together a game of 34 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in a road win over Hendrix College. The 34 points was a career-high for Mitchem. He posted another double-double November 17 when he scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against UA-Fort Smith. He shot 61 percent from the field during the week.

Mitchem is among the most productive players in the ASC thus far, ranking in the top-10 in scoring (2nd), rebounding (4th) and blocked shots (1st).

Mitchem is a graduate of Northside High School where he was named All-Conference his senior campaign.

Ozarks will begin conference play when it hosts Concordia University Texas November 28 and Mary Hardin-Baylor November 30.
