Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks sophomore Bishop Bass was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Men?s Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced Thursday by ASC Media Relations Director Greg Weghorst.
Bass, a native of Greenwood, Ark., went unbeaten at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles against Western New England and Oglethorpe during the week. Bass won in straight sets against Western New England – helping fuel a 9-0 team win – before batting back 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 against Oglethorpe. He teamed with Todd Turner in doubles. Bass has a 10-1 singles and doubles record for the spring season.
Last season, Bass was named the ASC East Division Freshman of the Year and earned All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles.
He is a graduate of Greenwood High School.
