Clarksville, Ark.-Birmingham-Southern College erupted for three first half goals and then added three more in the second half to hand Ozarks a 6-1 setback in the Kyle Rote, Jr. Invitational Saturday in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Birmingham-Southern (3-1-1) scored in the fourth minute, but Ozarks (0-3-0) evened things up quickly with a goal in the fifth minute by Andrew Evemy. The Panthers would then put five in the back of the net to put the match out of reach. Ozarks recorded eight shots in the match, while the Panthers had 15. Tony Santoro tallied four shots, all of which were on goal. Evemy had two shots.
Neil Thompson ended with nine saves.
Ozarks will host Louisiana College September 16 and Mississippi College 18.
