Shreveport, La.-The Lady Eagles used a five-run second inning to gain a 7-1 game one victory over Centenary College Saturday.

Ozarks (9-25) dropped game two 5-3.

In game one, the Lady Eagles exploded for five runs on six hits in the second inning to get an early lead on Centenary (4-27). Pitcher Amber Rollins helped her own cause with an RBI double to begin the scoring. Heather Roberts followed with an RBI single and Colbey Russo recorded a sacrifice fly to score another run. Ali Mathis later drove in a pair of runs with a double to left center. With a 5-0 advantage, Ozarks would score two more times in the third inning to hold a comfortable 7-0 lead.

Ozarks had a big day at the plate collecting ten hits from nine different players. Molly Bowman had a 2-for-4 performance. Rollins (8-13) cruised through seven innings to receive the win. She had seven strikeouts.

Ozarks late inning rally came up just short as Centenary escaped with a 5-3 win in game two. Centenary held a 3-0 lead after three complete innings and then would add two more runs in the fourth. But the Lady Eagles stormed back in the sixth to climb within 5-3. Brittany Wagnon doubled in a run and Kelsey Stephens powered a two-run homer to get the rally going. It was her fourth home run of the season. But the comeback fell short as the Lady Eagles went scoreless in the seventh.

Russo finished 2-for-3. Tabitha Porter (1-11) took the loss.

Ozarks will face Hendrix College in Conway April 18.
