"I was really pleased with the pitching of Justin Dixon and James Seymour in the tournament," said first year head coach Jimmy Clark. "They both pitched very well and Clint Phifer and Cody Gebhart hit the ball real well. We need to make some improvements on defense, but our goal for the Fall is to make improvements every game and we have done that. If we continue to work hard and improve, we have a chance to be pretty good." Against Hendrix College, Seymour pitched 3 ? innings and struck out five batters. Phifer had two hits and scored one run. Junior Matt Hebert and senior Shawn Adams each had a hit and a RBI. The Eagles will play an intersquad scrimmage on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m.
