Dani Bowman, an autistic entrepreneur, animator, educator, and public speaker dedicated to advancing inclusion, creativity, and opportunity for neurodivergent individuals, will speak at University of the Ozarks on Wednesday, Nov. 11, as part of the University’s Walton Arts & Ideas Series.
The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Rogers Conference Center. There is no cost for admission and the public is invited to attend.
Diagnosed with autism at age three and nonverbal until six, Bowman discovered animation as her first language—sparking a passion that continues to fuel her work today.
At just 14 years old, Bowman founded DaniMation, a social enterprise that teaches animation, provides mentorship, and creates professional pathways for neurodiverse youth and young adults. She later expanded internationally with DaniMation UK in 2019. To date, she has taught animation to over 3,500 students, helping many gain confidence, professional skills, and industry experience.
Nationally recognized for her work and featured as a cast member on Netflix’s “Love on the Spectrum U.S.,” Bowman uses her platform to advocate for meaningful representation and disability inclusion in media, education, and employment.
Her creative work includes 16 original animated short films, all premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, along with collaborations across studios, organizations, and educational institutions. Her approach blends artistic training with social-emotional development—supporting students not just as artists, but as growing individuals.
Her academic journey reflects the same commitment. She holds a bachelor’s degree in animation and an MBA in global strategy & leadership.
Whether speaking, animating, teaching, or building new opportunities for others, Bowman leads with authenticity, humor, and heart—proving that passion, community, and belief can turn challenges into purpose.
