Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles dropped their American Southwest Conference East Division season-opener, 55-42, against Austin College on Tuesday night.
Ozarks (4-7, 0-1) ran into a physical Lady Kangaroos (7-5, 1-0) squad and came up short in their quest to begin the ASC Eastern Division race with a win. Tiffany Villines’ three three-pointers in the first half kept the score close in the first twenty minutes of action, but twelve second half turnovers held back Ozarks from making any serious comebacks. Villines scored a team-best 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Mandi Carter added 14 points and nine rebounds. Ozarks continues their home stand when they host East Texas Baptist on Thursday night.
