Austin College Plays Tough Defense In Win

Clarksville, Ark.-Austin College moved into a first-place tie in the American Southwest Conference East Division with a 70-52 win over the Lady Eagles on Monday night in Sherman, Texas.

The Lady Eagles (2-19, 2-16) were slowed by a poor shooting night from the field, making only 18 field goals the entire game. Ozarks shot 29 percent from the floor in the game. Austin College (14-6, 12-6) held a 36-23 lead at halftime and then proceeded to out score Ozarks 34-29 in the second half. Erica Eneks had 23 points to lead the team. Jeanne Randall added 11 points. Olivia Fisher had a team-best 12 rebounds. Ozarks will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face UT-Dallas on February 10 and Tyler, Texas, to take on UT-Tyler on February 12.
