University of the Ozarks Professor of Art Tammy Harrington recently served as a juror at the 37th Annual Adult Competition at the Center for Art & Education in Van Buren, Ark.
University of the Ozarks Art Professor Tammy Harrington and her husband, Neal, served as jurors in the 37th Annual Adult Competition at the Center for Art & Education in Van Buren, Ark.
The competition was open to artists ages 18 and over and the artwork submitted must have been executed within the last two years. Approximately 50 works were accepted into the exhibition.
Harrington was joined by her husband, Russellville artist Neal Harrington, as a juror in the competition. They selected several prize winners, including Juror’s Choice, first, second and third place winners, and specialty categories such as Best Watercolor and Best Architectural Elements.
"It was an honor to be selected to juror this exhibition," Harrington said. "I was impressed by the assortment of media and techniques in this exhibition. This work is a testament to the talented artists in the Van Buren area."
Harrington has taught at Ozarks since 2002. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota and a master’s degree in fine arts from Wichita State University.
