Clarksville, Ark. -- The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will perform a special Haunted Halloween Concert at University of the Ozarks at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Walton Fine Arts Center on the Clarksville campus.

The concert is part of the university’s 2007-2008 Walton Arts & Ideas Series. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by calling 479-979-1346.

Children and adults are encouraged to attend the concert in costume and there will be a free treat bag for all children. There will also be an "instrument petting zoo" before the performance for the children.

The conductor of the concert will be Israel Getzov. Some of the pieces that will be performed include Opening from Toccata & Fugue (Bach); Phantom Medley (AL Weber); Night on Bald Mountain (Mussorgsky); Addams Family Theme (Mizzy); Harry Potter Symphonic Suite (Williams) and In the Hall of the Mountain King (Grieg).

Now in its 42nd season, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra delights audiences world wide with concerts and touring events. The symphony is comprised of the state’s most sought after professional musicians and is heard by more than 250,000 Arkansans each year.
