Arkansas Symphony string quartet performs Feb. 4

Clarksville, Ark. --- The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra's string quartet will perform an intimate chamber concert at the University of the Ozarks at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in the Walton Fine Arts Center.

The concert is part of the university’s 2009-2010 Walton Arts & Ideas Series, which is titled Celebrate Arkansas. Tickets for the concert are $10 each and can be purchased by calling 479-979-1346.

The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s string quartet features two violinists, a violist and a cellist performing a repertoire from a wide variety of important composers and historical periods.

Now in its 44th season, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra delights audiences world wide with concerts and touring events. The symphony is comprised of the state’s most sought after professional musicians and is heard by more than 250,000 Arkansans each year.
