Clarksville, Ark.--Junior third baseman Anthony Brandon was named American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week after leading the Eagles to a pair of double-header sweeps.

Brandon, a 6-0, 225-pound native of Rogers, batted a combined .714 (10-for-14) over four games to get the Eagles off to a 4-0 season start. Brandon scattered a pair of doubles and recorded four RBI in the February 5 season-opening wins against Mid-America. He then drove-in six runs with two extra-base hits, including a home run, in Friday’s sweep of Brescia University February 11. Brandon, who batted 5-for-7 in each twinbill set, carries a school record 25-game hit streak. Brandon has already collected 10 RBI this season. He is a graduate of Rogers High School.
