Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore outfielder Ali Mathis was named to the American Southwest Conference All-East Division Second Team, the ASC office announced on Tuesday.

Mathis, a native of Lebanon, Mo., was among the team leaders in nearly every offensive category this season. She led the team in hits (45), doubles (11), stolen bases (9) and total bases (56). She finished second in batting (.366), RBI (14), runs (22), on-base percentage (.436) and slugging percentage (.455). Mathis proved to be one of the top defensive outfielders in the ASC, posting a .959 fielding percentage in 40 games from her left field position.

The left-handed hitter had a team-best 14 multiple-hit games while hitting safely in 29 games. She had a pair of three-hit games, including a 3-for-5 performance against nationally-ranked Louisiana College April 1, and owned a 12-game hitting streak during the season.

Last season she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference after leading the team in triples (3) while hitting .306 and collecting 11 doubles.

Mathis was a three-time All-Conference performer at Lebanon HS.
