Clarksville, Ark. -- The Aerial Dance Theatre will bring its graceful style of entertainment to University of the Ozarks on Tuesday, Oct. 25, as part of the university's 2005-2006 Walton Arts & Ideas Series.
The Aerial Dance Theater is a blend of tradition and innovation, presenting dance in a way that pushes emotion and understanding, challenges preconceptions, and elevates the use of imagery in dance performance. The company’s main purpose is to present diverse, contemporary movement experiences that entertain, educate, and stimulate audiences of all ages. Founded in 1986, Aerial Dance Theater is a professional touring company in residence at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. The company has toured the globe, taking its breathtaking, gravity defying performances to such far away lands as Belgium, Mexico, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Sweden. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Walton Fine Arts Center on the U of O campus. Tickets for the performance are $10 each and can be purchased by calling 479-979-1346.
