Clarksville, Ark. The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team cruised past Howard Payne University, 4-1, in American Southwest Conference action on Saturday.

<#IMAGE:1#>Ozarks (6-7-2, 3-6-0) scored the match’s first goal in the 41st minute when Mandi Carter scored her first goal of the season. Amanda Bohon received the assist. Kristyn Shinn followed with a goal with just 27 seconds left in the half to put the Lady Eagles up 2-0. Ozarks then got a pair of goals from Katie Adan in the second half to help Ozarks snap a four-game losing skid. Adan booted one in with 23 minutes left in the match and then netted another in the 75th minute. Emma Cantele had 2 assists and Shinn received an assist. Ozarks out shot Howard Payne (1-11-0, 1-8-0) 26-8. Mandi Carter and Heather Dryden each had 5 shots. Ozarks goalkeeper Olivia Fisher had 3 saves. The win also tied the program’s record in wins (6). Ozarks will travel to Kerrville, Texas, to face Schreiner University on October 20 and Seguin, Texas, to face Texas Lutheran University on October 21.
