Jackson, Miss.-No. 24 Piedmont College overcame a 1-0 fourth inning deficit by scoring five runs in the fifth to secure a 7-3 over the Eagles in the Wilson-DeMarini Classic Saturday.

Ozarks (0-2) got a run in the fourth when Ian Brian grounded out to third base allowing Mitchell Powers to score. Starter Freddy Prince cruised through four innings allowing only two hits during that time. Piedmont (1-0), however, had a big fifth inning as it recorded three hits and five runs. Ozarks got two of those runs back in the top of the sixth when Chris Driedric and Powers scored. Leading 5-3, Piedmont added a run in the seventh and the eighth.

Prince (0-1) took the loss after going four and one-third innings.

Ozarks totaled four hits in the contest.
