Clarksville, Ark. -- The 2008 men's and women's soccer schedules have been released and both teams will open the season with a pair of home game against non-conference opponents.
The men’s schedule features ten home matches and six non-conference games. The Eagles open with Central College August 30 and follow with a match against Hendrix College August 31. The women’s team will open the 2008 season against Texas College August 30 and then host Central Baptist College September 1. The Lady Eagles have 11 home matches and will play six non-conference opponents.
The annual alumni match will be held August 23 at Hurie Field. The women’s match is set for 1:00 p.m. and the men will follow at 3:00 p.m.
The Eagles are the defending American Southwest Conference regular season champions. They posted a 17-5-0 overall record and an 11-2-0 ASC mark. The women’s team will be under the direction of new head coach Brian Drotar. The Lady Eagles went 7-6-4 overall and 6-6-1 in ASC play a year ago.
