Clarksville, Ark.--16 University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been named to the 2005 fall American Southwest Conference All-Academic team, announced by the league office on Monday.

16 University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been named to the 2005 fall American Southwest Conference All-Academic team, announced by the league office on Monday. To be eligible for ASC All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have lettered during the 2005 season, be in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average of 3.00 or better. The men’s cross country team placed two athletes on the team: senior political science major Brett Hays from Little Rock; and senior chemistry major Mark Meade from Rogers. The women’s cross country team placed four athletes on the team: senior biology major Devon Bottoms from Prairie Grove; Jodie Clark, a junior physical education major from Springdale; Tiffany Koller, a senior biology major from Alma; and Amanda Stang, a junior music major from Albuquerque, New Mexico. The men’s soccer team place five athletes on the team: Nate Abbott, a junior business administration major from Pryor, Okla.; Jason Caskey, a junior biology major from Broken Arrow, Okla.; Jeffrey Enevoldsen, a sophomore biology major from Ponca City, Okla.; Ron Hogsett, a senior political science major from McKinney, Texas; and Aaron Pierson, a senior biology major from Allen, Texas. The women’s soccer team placed five athletes on the team: Mandi Carter, a junior physical education major from Clarksville; Olivia Fisher, a sophomore business administration major from Mountain Home; Jessalyn Halsted, a sophomore biology major from Harrison; Kate Schoenhals, a junior biology major from Salt Lake City, Utah; and junior mathematics major Ember Smith from Allen, Texas.
