Clarksville, Ark.-Mississippi College didn?t have an answer for Ozarks? high-scoring trio of Marcus Bobb, Ronnie Dodd and Andrew Cummings as the Eagles posted a 74-66 win in American Southwest Conference play Saturday afternoon.
As has been the case all season, Bobb, Dodd and Cummings paced Ozarks (7-16, 4-13 ASC) as the team’s leading scorers. The trio combined for 46 points against the Choctaws (12-10, 8-8 ASC). Mississippi College raced out to a 23-13 lead in the first half before Ozarks stormed back to tie the contest, 24-24, with 8:12 left. The Eagles later extended their lead to 30-24 after four straight free throws. After battling back and forth for the next five minutes, Ozarks went into intermission tied 37-37.

The twelfth tie of the game occurred at the 7:32 mark of the second half, but Ozarks would take the lead for good at that point after a pair of Dodd free throws. A Bobb layup with 3:36 left put the Eagles in front 65-57. Ozarks went to the free throw line 41 times in the game and hit 28 of those.
Isaiah Boxell, the school’s all-time leader in assists, had six assists.
Both Bobb and Dodd finished with double-doubles on “Senior Day”. Bobb had 19 points and 10 rebounds while Dodd had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Cummings finished with 10 points.
Ozarks will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face Texas-Dallas on February 11.
