Full-Need Tuition Scholarship Program

Full-Need Tuition Scholarship Program

History/Background

This program continues our commitment to making an Ozarks education both affordable and accessible and to lowering student debt. Our mission is to eliminate financial obstacles, allowing you to focus entirely on your educational journey, and this program is the embodiment of that commitment. You don’t have to leave the area for an undergraduate education that is both world-class and affordable. University of the Ozarks originally created this program specifically for Johnson County, but expanded it to include the neighboring counties of Logan, Franklin, Madison, Newton and Pope. This evolution reflects our enduring dedication to inclusivity, ensuring that a diverse and vibrant student body has unimpeded access to the transformative power of education, without neglecting our own backyard.

Benefits

The Full Need Tuition Scholarship program is not your average scholarship; it’s a holistic solution. If you meet the criteria, we’re proud to cover the direct cost of tuition after all federal and state aid, including the U.S. Department of Education’s Direct Subsidized Loans, has been applied. The full-need tuition scholarship does not cover room and board or books. Our goal is to remove financial barriers, enabling you to focus wholeheartedly on your educational journey and thrive without the burden of tuition costs.

Eligibility

We are specifically seeking local students that demonstrate financial need and embody a genuine commitment to learning. We’ll use your FAFSA information to help us determine financial need – you’ll need to have qualified for the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship and Federal Pell Grant based on your FAFSA.

Responsibility

Upon securing this remarkable scholarship, your role becomes pivotal. Consider us your steadfast allies. We rely on your ongoing commitment – keeping us informed about your financial status, staying on course for your degree, and, above all, maximizing the potential that this extraordinary opportunity presents. Your responsibility aligns with our shared goal: a successful and enriching academic journey.
