Park to Present Piano Recitals March 31, April 8

Dr. Jisook Park, assistant professor of music and piano/staff collaborative pianist at University of the Ozarks, will present a pair of solo piano recitals in the coming weeks.

Park will perform at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 31, at Arkansas Tech University’s Witherspoon Auditorium. She will also perform at U of O’s Rowntree Recital Hall in the Walton Fine Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8.

There is no cost for admission to either concert and the public is invited.

Park, who joined the Ozarks faculty in July 2024, will present music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Joseph Haydn, Claude Debussy and Frederic Chopin.

Park holds a doctor of musical arts (DMA) degree in piano performance with a minor in opera coaching and accompanying from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has master’s and bachelor’s degrees in piano performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

She most recently served as visiting assistant professor of piano and collaborative piano at Eastern New Mexico University, where she managed the piano program and accompanied students, guest artists, and faculty concerts.
