Clarksville, Ark.-Jimmy Pannell's grand slam in the bottom of the fifth propelled Ozarks past Hendrix College 14-8 on Tuesday afternoon at Lonnie R. Qualls Field.

<#IMAGE:1#>It is the second time Ozarks (7-7, 0-0) has beaten Hendrix (9-7-1) this season. Trailing 5-3 going into the bottom of the fifth, Ozarks loaded the bases for the senior catcher. Pannell then hit a towering shot over the left field fence to give Ozarks a lead it would never relinquish. The Eagles collected only two hits in the inning, but held a 9-5 lead after five. It was Pannell’s third homer of the season. The Eagles got a pair of runs in the first when Todd Koch knocked in Andrew Teaster and John Glenn. Ozarks added another in the third when Koch again knocked in Teaster, who had reached on a double. Meanwhile, Ozarks starter Bruce Cameron held the Warriors to just three hits and two runs through four. In the seventh, the Eagles scored four runs on three hits. Robby Finnell, Koch and Pannell all tallied RBI in the inning. Nine different Ozarks’ players recorded a hit, with Koch going 3-for-4 with 4 RBI. Pannell collected a career-high 5 RBI in the win. Cameron (1-1) went five innings and allowed only one walk. John Scheuring effectively pitched four innings to pick up his second save of the season. Scheuring mowed down five Hendrix batters. The Eagles will travel to Sherman, Texas, to face Austin College this Saturday.
