Olivia Fisher Named ASC Player of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior center Olivia Fisher was named the American Southwest Conference women's basketball East Division Player of the Week, announced ASC Director of Media Relations Greg Weghorst on Tuesday.

The 6-foot Mountain Home, Ark., product averaged 20.5 points and 12 rebounds over two games, including a 25-point, 18-rebound performance in a victory against Texas Lutheran. It was the third double-double of the season for Fisher, who also had two assists, two steals and two blocks on the week. She hit 11 of 12 free throw attempts during Ozarks 1-1 week. Against TLU, Fisher collected 13 defensive boards.

Fisher has started in all eight games and leads the ASC in rebounding (9.9). She is seventh in the ASC in free throw percentage (81%). She is second on the team in scoring (13.5).

Fisher earned ASC All-East Division Freshman Team honors in 2004-2005. She has accumulated 439 career rebounds in just over two seasons of play. She has also earned All-Conference honors in soccer and tennis while at Ozarks.

She is a graduate of Mountain Home High School.

Ozarks will not play again until December 31 when they host non-conference opponent Hendrix College.
