Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University's Kelli Parton and Taylor Thibodeaux combined to throw a no-hitter in a 9-1 game two win to complete an American Southwest Conference four-game weekend sweep over the Lady Eagles.

Parton tossed one inning as the starter and was followed by Thibodeaux, who pitched the remaining four innings to complete the no-hitter. The duo walked four and struck out five. The Lady Eagles (5-21, 0-12 ASC) did scratch across one run in the third inning as Ashley Roberts, Whitley Borin and Ali Mathis each drew walks. Roberts crossed the plate on a passed ball.

Kelsey Mefford (3-5) took the loss.

In game one, Ozarks’ starting pitcher Tabitha Porter threw a four-hitter and struck out seven only to lose 2-0. Three of those four hits came in the fifth inning when LeTourneau (15-9, 6-6 ASC) scored the game-clinching runs. And, each of their hits came with two outs. Ozarks out hit LeTourneau (9-4), and had hits in all but one inning. The Lady Eagles had runners in scoring position in the first, third, fourth, sixth and seventh inning, but couldn’t get the timely hit needed to push across a run.

Porter issued just one walk and was especially dominate in the first three frames as she allowed only one base runner and fanned all three batters she faced in the second inning. Porter falls to 1-11 on the season.

Heather Roberts went 2-for-3 and Mefford finished 2-for-4.

Ozarks will host Louisiana College April 1-2 in a four-game series.
