Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University used a five-run sixth to overcome a 1-0 deficit and secure a 5-1 win in game one and then jumped out to a 5-0 lead in game two to hand Ozarks a 7-3 setback in American Southwest Conference play Friday.

In game one, Ozarks (3-19, 1-7) had the game under control, holding a 1-0 lead for most of the contest. Julie Wilkinson drove in Morgan Goates for a 1-0 advantage in the third. Ozarks’ starter Stephany Henson tossed five and two-third scoreless innings before LeTourneau (11-12, 4-6) turned the game around. The YellowJackets scored five runs off four hits with two outs, including a three-run triple to take the game’s momentum. All five runs were unearned in the frame.

Henson (1-9) took the loss in her sixth complete game of the season.

Ozarks had seven different players record one hit.

In game two, LeTourneau managed a 3-0 lead after the third and then added two more in the fifth to go up 5-0. Ozarks mounted a comeback in the top of the sixth. Wilkinson and Kayla Harris hit back-to-back singles. Danielle Dirks then delivered a triple to right field to score both runners. Cassie Saorrono followed with a sacrifice fly to score Dirks, cutting the deficit to 5-3. LeTourneau, however, got two runs back in the bottom half of the inning and then closed the game out with three easy outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Henson took the loss after tossing three innings.

Wilkinson and Harris each went 2-for-3 at the plate.

The Lady Eagles will play another double-header tomorrow against LeTourneau starting at 12:00 p.m.
