Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles created plenty of opportunities, but couldn't find the back of the net through 110 minutes of play Thursday in their 0-0 tie against American Southwest Conference foe Louisiana College.

Ozarks (0-5-1, 0-0-1) produced a season-high 26 shots, including 14 on goal, only to see the match end in a scoreless double-overtime tie. Ozarks had their way with the Louisiana College (0-5-1, 0-0-1) defense, recording 13 shots in the first half, seven in the second half, two in the first overtime and four in the second overtime. In the first half, Kristi Gordon hit a shot just wide of the goal and moments later Adrian Rogers nearly chipped one in with 23 minutes left. Gordon had another shot attempt in the 30th minute, but Louisiana College goalkeeper Emily Breaux made a nice save. In the second half, Gordon was again denied on an even better Breaux save in the 53rd minute. Ozarks goalkeeper Morgan O’Neil kept the Wildcats off the board behind an impressive save with just under 15 minutes left in the second half. Ozarks continued to attack offensively, with both Rogers and Kaitlyn Williams hitting the post in the second overtime. Breaux would make a pair of saves in the second overtime to keep the Lady Eagles scoreless.

Gordon recorded a career-high 11 shots. Rogers finished with nine shots. In her first shutout of the season, O’Neil posted six saves.

Ozarks will host Mississippi College September 18 on “Alumni Recognition” Day. There will be a co-ed alumni match following the men’s match. Both of Saturday’s matches against Mississippi College will be broadcast on Clarksville’s KXIO 106.9 FM and can be heard on the web at www.kxio.nu.
