Clarksville, Ark.-Hendrix College used a three goal surge in the second half to upend the Lady Eagles 3-0 in non-conference play Thursday night in Clarksville.
Ozarks (1-3-0) kept the match scoreless after one half of play behind a strong effort from goalkeeper Lori Langman. In the 30th minute, Langman punched away a shot off a corner kick and only seconds later Hendrix (3-0-0) threatened to score again. This time Langman reached high above her head to deflect a Lindsey Abel shot. Ozarks recorded two shots in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net. Ashley Gallegos broke the scoreless match with a goal in the 56th minute, and the Warriors would add to the momentum when they netted another goal four minutes later. Hendrix produced 12 shots in the second half, while Ozarks manufactured just one.
Langman recorded 12 saves.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Arkadelphia to face Ouachita Baptist University for a match tomorrow.
