Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles scored three goals in the first half and Guido Salas scored twice in a 4-1 American Southwest Conference win over Texas Lutheran University Saturday.
Texas Lutheran (0-11-0, 0-7-0 ASC) could do little to slow down the Eagles (6-6-0, 5-3-0 ASC) powerful attack. Salas scored in the 13th minute and the Eagles would add two late first half goals to hold a 3-0 halftime lead. Christian Ridings netted a goal in the 41st minute and Eloy Salgado followed up with a goal in the 44th minute. Salgado benefitted from a great pass from Travis Murnan. Salas would strike again in the 79th minute for his career 19th goal.
Ozarks posted a 16-5 shots advantage and a 6-1 corner kicks advantage.
The Eagles will travel to Texas next week to face LeTourneau University October 14 and East Texas Baptist University October 15.
