Richardson, Texas-After Ozarks took a brief 40-39 lead in the second half, Texas-Dallas went on a 17-0 run to secure a 81-58 American Southwest Conference win Monday night.

Ozarks (3-10, 1-9 ASC) trailed 34-26 at the half and scored just two points in the first seven minutes of the game. However, Colby Woolverton hit a three-pointer to jumpstart a 20-10 run over a nine-minute span to close the gap to 27-22. The Eagles came out in the second half and put on a solid performance early on. Ronnie Dodd scored four straight points for the Eagles. Joshua Clark later drilled a three-pointer and then a jumper to tie the score, 37-37, at the 15:31 mark. Dodd hit a three-pointer to give Ozarks its first and only lead of the game with 12:25 remaining. But things quickly went sour for Ozarks as Texas-Dallas (10-4, 6-4 ASC) held the Eagles scoreless for the next five minutes. By that time, the Comets had built a 56-40 lead.

Dodd led Ozarks with 11 points and Andrew Cummings added 10 points.

Ozarks will host LeTourneau University January 12 and Texas-Tyler January 14.
