John Hawkins '70 and Larry Patterson teamed up to shoot a 14-under-par 58 to win the University of the Ozarks' Alumni Golf Tournament, held Oct. 26 at the Clarksville Country Club.
A total of 36 golfers competed in the two-person scramble, which was sponsored by the university’s Alumni Association. Proceeds from the event benefit the Alumni Association endowment, which helps fund scholarships at the university.
Joe Hickey ’69 and Ronnie Betnar ’84 shot a 64 and used a tiebreaker to edge out two other teams that also shot a 64: Dean Pitts ’69 and Don Pitts ’69 and Bo Funderburk ’00 and Kent Douglas.
