Sculpture dedicated in memory of Nancy Johnson

University of the Ozarks held a dedication ceremony for a sculpture titled "Five Children in A Tree" in memory of Nancy Jane Johnson by her family and friends on Dec. 8.

Among the family members who attended the event were (from left) Wayne Robertson, Shalane Choate, Chris Choate, Roylene Slaughter, Max Slaughter, Tracy Todd, Michael Johnson, Lisa Johnson (kneeling), Penny Wolters and Roy Johnson. Nancy Johnson, who passed away in 2007, was married for 55 years to Roy Johnson, a long-time member of the university’s Board of Trustees. The sculpture, which was designed by artist Ken Ross, stands near Walker Hall, which houses the university’s Teacher Education Division.
