University of the Ozarks Theatre will present R.T. Robinson's dramatic comedy "The Cover of LIFE," April 10, 11 and 12, in the Walton Fine Arts Center's Seay Theatre.
The production will begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 10 and 11 and at 3 p.m. on April 12. Cost is $8 per person and tickets can be purchased at the box office on the evening of the performance or on-line at www.ozarks.edu/theatre. The play contains limited mature language and children ages 5 and under will not be admitted.
"The Cover of LIFE" is set in 1943 and focus on the lives of three lonesome brides living in rural Louisiana during World War II. Their husbands, all brothers, are off at war. When the editor of LIFE magazine decides to send a reporter to develop a story on this unique American family, they find that, surprisingly, they may all just end up on "The Cover of LIFE."
The cast includes Phoebe Randel as Tood, Friedl Nugent as Sybil, Meghan Mansur as Weetsie, Annie Williams as Aunt Ola, Lauren Charters as Kate, Hannah Shellito as Addie Mae and Jonathan Warren as Tommy.
The play will be directed by U of O Walton professor of Theatre Bruce B. Brown. Utah Robertson will serve as stage manager, Kady Holmes as assistant stage manager and property master, Lucas Hoiland as lightning designer and technical director, Lauren Charters as costume designer, Katelyn Nichols as sound designer and sound board operator, John Davis as light board operator, Hannah Shellito as graphic designer. Other crew members include, David Pluebell, Tyler Lyngle, Houston Hall, Sandra Davis, Heather Tankersley, Joey Chambers, Darrick Conroy, Tori Rhein, Daniel Barnes, Brittany Oviedo and Adrienne D. Maney.
