University of the Ozarks Theatre will kick off the 2014-2015 with the musical "Always?Patsy Cline," with performances on Sept. 25, 26 and 27.

The production, which will be held in the Walton Fine Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre, begins at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 26 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. The house opens 30 minutes prior to the performances and tickets are $8 each. Tickets can be purchased at www.ozarks.edu/theatre.

There will be desserts and beverages available for purchase before the performance.

Written by Ted Swindley, Always…Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in l961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. The musical, complete with down home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Cline’s unforgettable hits, such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and Walking After Midnight. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letters to Seger, which were consistently signed "Love ALWAYS… Patsy Cline."

Patsy Cline will be played by Phoebe Randle, a sophomore theatre major from Texarkana, Ark., and Louise Seger will be played by Machayla Burke, a freshman theatre major from Booneville, Ark.
