Thompson Receives Jim Elder Scholarship

U of O junior Bradley Thompson has been named one of seven state recipients of the prestigious Jim Elder Good Sport Fund Scholarships for 2021.

The award is named for the late Jim Elder, a well-known and long-time sports broadcaster in Arkansas, and is presented to college students who are pursuing a career in communications. The recipients receive a $6,000 scholarship to continue their college education.

Thompson is from Keota, Okla., and is majoring in communication and minoring in music and psychology. He recently directed a short film called “Stamoas,” that premiered this month on Facebook.

Thompson, who serves as a Resident Assistant at Ozarks, plans on pursuing a career in either film-making or student affairs.
