
University of the Ozarks graduates continue to find employment and graduate school placement success at impressive levels, according to the University’s 2023 First Destination and Career Profile Report.
The latest report looks at the Class of 2022 graduates and whether or not they had employment or were in graduate or professional school within six months of graduation. The report found that 98 percent of the respondents had either full-time employment, were in graduate or professional school or were employed part-time. Out of 164 graduates, only four were still seeking employment and six did not respond to the survey.
This is the seventh consecutive year that the University’s success rate for its graduates has exceeded 90 percent. The average for the past five years is 95 percent.
“In this year’s report, we are delighted to witness further growth in these numbers, with a 98 percent success rate and a 97 percent knowledge rate,” said Matt Bewley, director of career services. “Our graduates’ achievements fill us with immense pride, and it is always a joy to witness their continued success. Over the past five years, the University of the Ozarks has consistently demonstrated its dedication to equipping students for success, achieving an impressive average of 95 percent in both success rate and response rate. These consistent figures display the exceptional preparedness of our graduates as they embark on their post-university journeys.”
According to the 2023 First Destination and Career Profile Report, the 2022 graduates were working in 17 states and 10 countries. In addition, 21 members of the Class of 2022 were in graduate or professional schools in eight different states. The largest number of employed graduates were in the professional fields of business and finance (31), education (30) and healthcare (19).
The University follows the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) standards and protocols for the collection and dissemination of initial career outcomes for recent graduates.
