Clarksville, Ark. - University of the Ozarks head tennis coach Shaun Wiseman has announced the 2008-2009 men's and women's tennis schedule.
Ozarks will open the fall season at home against Hendrix College in September. The men will play the Warriors in Clarksville September 16. The women will follow later in the month with a match in Clarksville September 26. The American Southwest Conference individual tournament will be held September 18-20 on the campus of UT-Tyler. The Eagles and Lady Eagles will follow the ASC tournament with a trip to Russellville for the Arkansas Tech University Invitational September 26-27. After their competition against NCAA II opponents in Russellville, Ozarks will travel to Pine Bluff to face NCAA I UA-Pine Bluff October 17. Both the men’s and women’s matches will begin at 1:00 p.m. against the Lions, who are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The 2009 spring schedule begins in Conway at the Hendrix College Invitational February 13-14. Ozarks first ASC spring match will be against Louisiana College March 6 in Pineville, La. Ozarks first home conference match will be April 2 against LeTourneau University. UT-Dallas and UT-Tyler round out the regular season for Ozarks April 4 and April 9, respectively. Both of those matches are at home.
