Clarksville, Ark.- Candy Vallo and Satara Harrell combined for 51 points to push East Texas Baptist University to a 70-59 win over the Lady Eagles Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

The game was much closer than the final score indicated as Ozarks (5-10, 3-7) was within 63-59 with 3:10 left. But the Lady Tigers (4-10, 4-6) posted seven straight points while holding Ozarks scoreless over that stretch to make it a double-digit win.

The game was tied 34-34 with 1:20 left in the first half, but East Texas Baptist would finish out the half on a 5-0 run to hold a narrow 39-34 halftime lead. The Lady Tigers built a 55-46 lead in the second half before Ozarks made a push to close the gap to 57-56. Back-to-back three-pointers by Lacey Phillips and Ashley Teague got Ozarks to that point, but East Texas Baptist answered by building a 63-56 lead in the ensuing three minutes. Ozarks shot only 27 percent from the field in the second half, making it difficult to finish off a comeback.

Phillips led Ozarks with 18 points. April Young and Olivia Fisher each had 8 points. Fisher had 10 rebounds. Phillips also had 5 steals.

Ozarks will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face UT-Dallas January 19.

Game Notes:
-Lacey Phillips has ten games in which she has hit at least two three-pointers.
-Olivia Fisher posted her fourth straight game with at least 10 rebounds. She has averaged 14.5 boards over that stretch.
